This marks my first blog post ever after years and years of reading so many. Now that the foggy newborn days of my son Charlie have passed and he's now 8 months old, I'm beginning to realize how quickly time is slipping by and how quickly things change. I know I'll look back and regret not taking note of the little things: the fleeting stages, the firsts (major and minor), the good days, and the bad. Baby books have always seemed a bit cheesy to me, so I'm hoping this brand new blog will begin to serve as a scrapbook for our family and house the memories of my children's childhoods in both text and pictures. I need to take time to stop, reflect, and cherish as much as possible since my little man will reach toddlerhood in a few short months!
In my due date group, someone asked yesterday what our favorite stage has been. I can honestly say that it keeps getting better as his little personality emerges, and he becomes more independent. Yesterday, TJ walked into the house after getting home from work, and Charlie was so excited. TJ picked him up, and totally unprompted, Charlie swooped in to give his daddy a big open-mouthed kiss on the cheek. I don't think my heart has ever been more full.
